2nd Team toplay in paddock shield semi-final after destroying Elland PDF Print E-mail

Yep thats right folks the second team blew Elland away, although i wasent there!! Not last night anyway, Sunday came rain was promissed but the mighty CWCC managed to post a massive 118 on the board, much debate was taking place, oh another 20-30 runs could be interesting, you never know at Elland on a pitch that bounced seamed and spun.... I know at Elland, the score was mainly down to Howie who again proved his class with an exellent 41 and Phil the CLUBBER Rigby who put Elland to all parts in a quickfire 38, some very poor shot selection saw us out for 118.

Then came the rain all that was needed was Noah i magine the groans Elland everynight of the week untill we finish!! But the boys done bloody great bowling Elland out for a mere 78 ish (sorry wasent there but will up date later) I believe Danny Warne wood spun his way to 4 wickets and the clubber Rigby took 3 a run out and jacob 2........ Great win guys well done........................... now come on for gods sake a bloody home draw please..........

The Village of Clayton West PDF Print E-mail
Despite claiming fame as one of the main settings for the long-standing BBC comedy series Last of the Summer Wine, the village of Clayton West remains relatively unknown to those outside of West Yorkshire. Away from the limelight, a population of nearly 3,000 live in this typical traditional Yorkshire village; a quaint but quiet pastoral and residental area with a warm friendly feel, surrounded by superb picturesque countryside which can be enjoyed in the flesh by the number of public footpaths available around rural areas of Clayton.

A Virtual Tour of Back Lane PDF Print E-mail
Located to the North of the village, Clayton West's Back Lane ground is a tightly compact area within a distinct square-shaped setting. The club's publicity message within the League booklet which states, "A warn welcome awaits all First and Second Elevens, and their supporters, visiting Back Lane" speaks volumes for the excellent service and outfield provided by the West Yorkshire side.
